Since the breaking news, I've had intentions of drawing a caricature of Chadwick Boseman because I'm a deep fan of his work and legacy. May he rest in peace. I debated with myself on whether or not I would illustrate his role as the Black Panther or if I would just illustrate him as a stand alone influencer. My goal was to honor the whole of his legacy, not just the reality that he personally impacted in my life. Ultimately, the end result was to just illustrate him, but I did begin some sketches of the Black Panther influence to see if that was the direction I wished to go. My process begins with some light blocking out of the figure in the Sketchable App, then transitioned to Clip Studio Paint for the final render.
